Barcelona is one of the most popular cities to visit in all of Europe – and the world. What many people don’t know is that Barcelona is also the best city in Europe when it comes to rooftop bars and magnificent terraces. Mostly because of the perfect climate, but also the large number of luxury hotels and mighty viewpoints.
At The Rooftop Guide you can find a list of all rooftop bars in Barcelona. But here’s a list of 5 favourite ones.
Skybar at Grand Hotel Central

The Skybar can boast one of Barcelona’s best rooftop swimming pools. An amazing infinity pool with views over the entire city and the ocean. Unfortunately, it’s only available for the hotel guests. My perfect day in Barcelona is perfectly simple. It consists solely of wandering around, stopping only to eat and drink.
I’ve lived in Barcelona for 8 months now after moving here in September 2014 and my favourite thing to do at the weekend is to wander around my local neighbourhood (barrio) whilst stopping off at bars, cafes and restaurants along the way.

My perfect day starts with a morning run to the Arc de Triomf along its avenue lined with palm trees and beautiful wrought iron lamps then on through the green oasis of Parc de la Ciutadella. At 10am, it is time for friends and breakfast, cafe con leche and a pain au chocolat (ok, maybe they are french, but they are still good here and France is just around the corner). And a freshly squeezed zumo de naranja (orange juice).
